Steps to Bypass the Windows 8 Password Screen

One of the most irritating new features that come with Windows 8 is where you have to keep entering your Microsoft account password every time you boot your system.

It’s one of those changes that make Microsoft’s latest operating system far more difficult to use, thanks to several changes. While this step is does wish to keep one’s PC secure, there are some cases where it might not be necessary, especially if one’s PC remains only in one location or has only one user.

Of course, there are several people who might find this step a bit tedious for whatever reason, and might want to know if there is a way to bypass the Windows 8 password screen.

So, here are 5 steps that will help you bypass the Windows 8 password screen:

Step #1: The first thing that you have to is boot your system and enter your Microsoft account password, if only for a couple more times.

Step #2: Now hold down the Window key and press the X key. Select ‘Command prompt’ (Admin) from the pop-up menu that will appear.

Step #3: Type ‘control userpasswords2’ in the command prompt and hit the ‘Enter’ key.

Step #4: Now, a User Accounts dialog box will appear. What you must uncheck is the box marked ‘Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer’.

Step #5: Finally, click OK and then confirm the automatic sign-in option by entering your password twice.

#6: Now reboot your computer and you’ll find that there isn’t a Windows password check.
