The latest feature update to hit Windows 10 is known as the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and adds several new features to the already mature OS. Mixed reality
Augmented and mixed reality is making a big splash, especially with VR failing to get any traction. The OS now supports mixed reality (MR) headsets. Sadly, there are no headsets available for purchase at this time.
Performance slider
Laptop users of Windows 10 will get a neat new feature when they click on the battery icon in the taskbar. When they click on the icon, they will see a slider which allows the user to alter the performance of the laptop in favor of either performance or power-saving.
3D
Windows 10 now supports 3D objects with Paint 3D. Along with 3D support for Microsoft Office, you can expect to see better and more interesting presentations and documents. You can couple Paint 3D with mixed reality support to see and play around with your 3D objects.
Defender
One of the biggest trends in 2017 was ransomware, and it cost people millions of dollars in losses. Microsoft aims to reduce some of the potential for ransomware by adding support to Windows Defender.
