Apple, in all probability, will be offering its Beats Music service along with the more general iTunes music offerings while also shipping it across its mobile devices as well as iPhones and iPads.
If this is true, then this service will have access to millions of new customers and which will give it a big advantage over Spotify and Rdio.
Of course, it will have all the features and functionality that is present in its current form as Beats but will don the iTunes branding instead. Yet again, this move makes sense since Apple already has a lead when it comes to digital music sales and other services.
This development, in the form of a rollout, will happen as soon as March where subscriptions will be linked to fingerprint-based authorization of purchase as well as Touch ID. That said, pre-installation and a simpler sign-up process will definitely encourage new users to sign up faster.
So, this new iTunes-branded Beats will continue to be offered as a paid subscription service along with iTunes Radio and Match, where the latter can access their musical content from a variety of devices at their disposal.
What is also possible is that with its release in March coinciding with iOS 8.2, it could very well become a part of the latter.
No matter what, keeping the Beats features, app and library intact but associating it with the Apple brand is a smart strategy as it reduces the number of product divisions for customers while also opening the door for new ones.
