Customers who need a new payment option when picking up a Mac or iPhone can now use Paypal.
This payment method is now available online at the Apple Store both in the UK or the US where Apple is also promoting its Credit System where customers can take upto 18 months to pay for a product without interest.
In fact, this move was expected since Apple already employs Paypal for its digital goods store be it the App Store or even the iTunes Music Store. Despite this, Paypal showed its displeasure at the launch of the Apple Pay solution by using the mass celebrity photo leak incident to suggest that Apple’s security practices were not up to the mark.
Now with the inclusion of Paypal at its hardware online store, it’s abundantly clear that it has little or no interest in dominating the payments solutions domain but prefer to make things more convenient for its customers of iOS and Mac hardware where most of its money comes from.
For that matter, Apple Pay has also been offered to customers so that they can explore that option for their own convenience rather than compete with Paypal in the payments domain.
Of course, it should be obvious that offering these extra options can only be good for even the most hesitant Apple customers since this will help a number of them to make purchases, thanks to the 18-month option now charging them no interest whatsoever.
